Check a message
Paste the whole message here
Copy the WhatsApp, SMS, email or social-media message and paste it below. Leave out your own ID number, bank details and passwords. You do not need them for this check.
Not sure how it works? Try an example (made up for practice):
🔒Your message is checked inside this page on your own phone or computer. It is not sent to ICG or anyone else, not saved, and not read by a person.
⚠ Golden rules, always
A real job, bursary or school place never needs you to pay to apply or to be hired.
Never share a PIN, OTP, password or card number. Nobody real will ask for them.
Check the organisation yourself, using the website you find by searching, not the link in the message.
Never go alone to meet someone you only know from a message. Tell a trusted adult first.
If anything asks for private photos or tells you to keep a secret, stop and tell a trusted adult.
This tool looks for common warning signs using fixed rules. It is not artificial intelligence and it cannot know whether a particular person or company is real. A message with no warning signs can still be a scam, and a message with warning signs is not always one, so always check with the organisation through its official website or phone number. This is general information, not legal advice.
